The day starts glum, grey and bare, with snow on the ground. The chill outside can take over if allowed. The same old routines, so grounding when decisions are hard to make, become dull and tedious.
Knowing the earth is waiting to explode in color through seed, bulb, and plants tests my patience for wanting the warmth and beauty. So my own beauty and light needs to shine. And maybe that is what winter is for, to test oneself, to hold still, hibernate, then expand.
