My cow milking days…almost 40 years ago but I remember it like yesterday…

Twice a day except Sundays. Then clean the barn with the tractor scraper, run the three silos and conveyor belt, out to the fields on the big tractor to check dry cows…and the list goes on. Once one was bleeding profusely after laying on a broken bottle. She survived. I loved this job and worked until a few months before giving birth to my first son.

  1. I search for joyful memories when I do life story profiling for those persons living with dementia. Reminiscing can be good for the health if it is happy times and brings about emotional wellbeing. Reflecting on happy memories is a good jump start to uplift mood.
